Situated on an 1.25 acre site in the Texas Medical Center, the new Coleman College for Health Sciences is a ten-story building dedicated to allied health and medical education.
What is unique in this project is that the over 200,000 square foot building is dedicated to education space. All the administrative spaces will remain in the existing Coleman College and be connected by a newly designed pedestrian bridge that spans over Pressler Street. In the new Coleman College for Health Sciences, collaboration and break out spaces dot each floor. The lower levels are focused on student collaboration spaces. The top levels are entirely dedicated to student education, hosting a variety of simulation medical labs. AUTOARCH worked with HDR, architect of record, on the programming, planning, architectural/ engineering services, and the interior design.
